As part time residents of Coronado Island off the coast of San Diego, we sometimes have friends confuse our home with Catalina island, which is off the coast of LA county. But we’ve never actually been to Catalina and we know almost nothing about this other vacation hotspot, aside from its reputation for legendary wine mixers. So this morning we’re taking a ferry from Long Beach to experience the food, culture, and activities first-hand. Let’s start devouring.

We're back in our second home: Coronado Island, California! After having so much fun making last year's episode featuring the best restaurants in Coronado, we decided to hit more local favorites by visiting the best street food restaurants on the island.

We’re part-time residents of Coronado Island, but to be perfectly honest, we rarely make it across the bridge to San Diego proper. So when we decided to do an ultimate food tour of the city, we met up with local expert and native Bianca Beale, who’s the founder and owner of So Diego Tours, a local team that produces amazing food, drink, and cultural experiences for tourists, families, and larger groups.

As long as we're doing these fun restaurant/bar tours featuring the many cities we've been visiting, it only makes sense that we make an episode for one of our home towns: Coronado, California!

Now that our kids are modeling again, we're doing regular trips to Los Angeles. So when Brooklyn got a gig with Hayden Girls in LA last week, we decided to take advantage of our new Inspirato membership and the kids' remote school and get the entire family out for a quick vacation. We stayed at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills and hit up some of our favorite restaurants, like Sugarfish Bevery Hills and Spago Bevery Hills. And sure, we got the kids out for Rodeo Drive window shopping, but we also got tons of sun in the rooftop pool! And Phil was such a trooper since we left Denver just a few hours after his oral surgery (you can probably tell that his mouth is still a bit numb and that he's on pain killers ;)

This is the story all about how our lives got flipped turned upside down... in a really really good way. This episode is all about how we took a leap of faith and decided to sell our home and invest in a different kind of future for our family.
