On our final day in Puerto Princesa, Philippines, we're staying on-resort and experiencing as many activities as possible before heading back home to Metro Manila.

It's day 3 in Puerto Princesa and we're spending it on the water and beaches of Palawan's many islands. Come with us as we island hop, enjoy lunch in the sand, stalk fireflies in the dark, and dine over the water and under the stars.

Our American family has set up a part-time home in Metro Manila, Philippines, but today we're off to experience one of the 7 new wonders of nature: the famous underground river of Puerto Princesa, Philippines.

After spending 3 weeks in our new second home of BGC, Metro Manila, we’re headed back into the jungles of the Philippines to explore Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Our tour of Malaysia is over and we’re spending today flying from Kuala Lumpur to Manila, Philippines. Since we have a 6-hour scheduled layover in Manila, we’re going to make the most of the airport amenities, but since we have to exit the secure area and recheck our bags anyway, we might take advantage of a special opportunity that presents.

We have another marathon travel day ahead of us as we jump from the Philippines paradise here in El Nido, back to Manila for the better part of the day, and then jet off to Malaysia to mark our 22nd country visited in our worldwide travels. Even if all our flights depart on time, this journey gets us into Kuala Lumpur at 1am.

El Nido isn’t just one of the most popular destinations in the Philippines; it’s also one of the most beautiful spots on the planet. So we’re leaving our beachfront glamping tent for the day and heading out in search of adventure amongst the surrounding islands. But with so many hidden treasures to explore, which will be the most memorable?

It’s been 12 months since our first trip to the Philippines paradise of Palawan. But there’s an even more famous spot in this province and there’s no way we can go another year without seeing for ourselves how it compares.

After spending the past few days hanging out with her best friends in BGC, we’re taking a little day trip well outside of Manila, complements of our new favorite website for Philippines travel and adventure. We’ve left this little day of adventure completely in their capable hands, so the four of us are excited to see what they have in store for us over the next 11 hours.

Since we’ve been spending so much time in the Philippines AND since we’ve been using Manila as a hub for a lot of our Asian travels AND since our good friends from the MomDuty channel have moved back here and encouraged us to be their neighbors, we’ve decided to set up a second home base here in BGC.

We've been stuck in The States for almost 2 months and eating almost every meal at home. And because food culture is such a big part of our travel adventures, we're all getting a little bit hangry for some of our international favorites.We're not even sure we can make it a couple more weeks until we're back in Southeast Asia, but luckily we just heard about a relatively new filipino restaurant that's just a few minutes' drive from our house. So, of course, we had to come see for ourselves.

For our last day in Cebu, we’re making our third attempt at swimming with the Philippines’ iconic whale sharks. After canceling our first excursion last year and then coming up empty handed in Donsol a few months ago, we’re really hoping that the third time’s a charm as we head into Oslob this morning.

We're officially back in the Philippines and we're on the southern tip of Cebu. We came back to cash in some rain checks from adventures that we missed on our first trip to the island last year. We are about to go to canyoneering through the rivers, waterfalls, jungles, and—you guessed it—canyons of Alegria.

We’re at Hong Kong airport but not for long because we’re about to hop on a 3-hour flight to take us to Cebu City (one of our favorite places in the world). Then we have a 3:45 minute drive to get us to the southern tip of the island where we’re gonna have an incredible few days at the Fantasy Lodge.

After a one-day delay caused by a missed flight connection, we've made it to the beautiful island of Siargao in the Philippines. Since we've missed a day of island hopping and adventure, we're teaming up with a couple of locals to pack as much into just two nights as possible.

Today, we’re packing up and leaving our beachside rooms in Donsol, where we tried unsuccessfully to swim with the local whale sharks. We’re heading to the island of Siargao, but our first of two flights is already delayed by an hour, putting our Manila connection in jeopardy. Will we make it to the laid-back surf destination this afternoon—or will we have to come up with an exciting Plan B?

We’ve left the hustle and bustle of BGC Manila and flown down to the beach city of Donsol, where we’re hoping to catch a glimpse of the glowing trees of fireflies and cash in a raincheck for swimming with the majestic whale sharks of the Philippines.

After just two months since our last visit to the Philippines, our appreciation for this beautiful country has brought us back—and we’re starting our adventures off in Bonifacio Global City (Taguig City).

By and large, the food we’ve encountered in the Philippines so far has been relatively tame. But that all changes today because we’re on a munching mission and Cebu City offers the most colorful collection of culinary kicks in the country. From fishballs to horse balls, blood to intestines, and eel babies to duck embryos.

We’re on the penultimate location in our 3-week, Southeast Asia trip and that has us here in Panglao. But we’re not content to sit on our thumbs all day, so instead, we’re meeting back up with our local guide from yesterday and heading off for a day of island-hopping through some of the most incredible reefs, waters, and beaches of the Philippines. And we’re capping the experience with a hidden gem back at our seaside resort, so be sure to stick around until the end.
