INSIDE a private Costa Rica beach villa in Playa Guiones

Last year, we visited Costa Rica for the first time and were blown away by the beauty of the land and the people. So when we were invited to come back and spend a week in a new villa just a couple minutes’ walk from the Pacific Ocean, we booked our flights and packed our bags.

The 4-bedroom villa is located in Playa Guiones—a hip surfing town within the coastal area of Nosara, which is part of the Guanacaste province that includes the Western edge of the Nicoya Peninsula. It’s still young in its growth as a popular vacation spot but with the recent influx of investment dollars, it’s bound to be a much more popular tourist destination within a matter of a few years. This begs the question, then: is Playa Guiones the ultimate Costa Rican destination because of its authentic beach vibe and non-existent tourist crowds?
