Last year, we visited Costa Rica for the first time and were blown away by the beauty of the land and the people. So when we were invited to come back and spend a week in a new villa just a couple minutes’ walk from the Pacific Ocean, we booked our flights and packed our bags.

After completing her initial PADI SCUBA training in Denver, Reagan was ready to do her open water certification dives while we were on our 7-day Inspirato Pass trip to Costa Rica. Over the course of 2 days, Phil and Reagan did 4 dives in the Pacific Ocean and Playa Del Coco bay.

While Phil and Reagan where out SCUBA diving in the Pacific Ocean, Colt, Brooklyn and I had a little adventure of our own. Our amazing Inspirato concierge team told us about a secret beach not far from our villa. Rumor has it, Playa Penca is the best snorkeling spot in the area!

While Phil and Reagan are playing in the ocean, the rest of us are enjoying the Pacifico Beach Club in Playa del Coco.

Colt and Phil have started a vacationing tradition of chartering a boat and crew for an open-water fishing adventure at each destination. This month, our Inspirato Pass membership took us to the incredible hilltop villa of Monte Del Mar in CoCo Beach, Costa Rica. And as it turns out, the most exciting part of the excursion wasn't even the fish they caught, but the other sea life they encountered along the way.

We found a Costa Rican treasure! Llanos de Cortez is about an hour drive from our Inspirato villa near Coco Beach. The waterfall was magnificent, but a local gave us a tip on where to hike for some real fun!

For our third Inspirato Pass trip, we chose this incredible 4-bedroom Monte Del Mar villa in Pacifico, Costa Rica. It's an incredible, sprawling estate for our 5-person family and it's absolutely perfect for our needs. Our first day in Costa Rica was an all-day adventure! We started by making some new iguana friends at a city center park in Filadelfia, Costa Rica. These were the biggest iguanas we've ever seen and about a dozen of them came running up to us as soon as we arrived! We then spent several hours on a private boat tour down a rainforest river, where we got up-close and personal with myriad species of birds, crocodiles, monkeys, bats, and more.
