Stalking Africa's “Big Five” in Phinda (Part 1)

Eleven days ago, we left our home in Denver and set out on an 18-day trip to South Africa. Not only does this mark our family’s 4th continent and 23rd country in 3 years of constant travel, but it also lets us check off Erin’s top bucket list destination. So after exploring the incredible cultures of Johannesburg, Cape Town, and the Winelands, it’s finally time to trek into the bush for some big game safari adventure. But that starts with a full day of travel, so we’re taking you along and showing you the Airlink flight experience to Kruger, the chartered plane experience to Phinda, how we pack efficiently for a safari, and what our luxurious mountain lodging is like. Let’s get to it.
