Adventures on our seventh continent continue with a family polar plunge below the Antarctic Circle, 1,000-year-old cocktails made from glacial ice, and sailing through the most Instagramable spot in Antarctica.

We’re about to sail a Class 6 expedition ship into an ancient volcano, get up close and personal with our first colony of penguins, plow through a sea of ice (with a little help from me), and open water kayak in search of some rare glacial ice that we can use to craft thousand-year-old cocktails back onboard. But will this be the day we’re called up for the Polar Plunge?

We’re flying from Buenos Aires to the southernmost city in the world, settling into the stunning Seabourn Venture, exploring the ship, and starting our voyage across 600 miles of the most dreaded bit of open ocean on the planet.
