Our final leg of our European trip is ditching the holiday theme and focusing on family adventures through the Eternal City of Rome. My mission is to give our kids the most authentic Roman experience Vat-i-can—by taking them through a colosseum worth of sites and bites in just 4 days. There’s a lot to squeeze in, so let’s put our big boy pantheon—and start devouring.
Four Perfect Days in Paris: Our family's first visit
We’re on a whirlwind tour through Europe and after starting in Florence and making our way to Milan, we’ve left Italy and landed in Paris, France. This is our family’s first trip to The City of Lights and there’s way too much to see and do in just four days. So, we’re pausing our new mission of living like locals and focusing instead on finding as many authentic and kid-friendly sites and bites as we can get our chilly little hands on.
Milan to Paris by high-speed train: better than flying?
After spending the past week in Florence and Milan, we’re leaving Italy and traveling to a killer 2-bedroom suite in the heart of Paris. By train. That takes 7 hours. And gets us into the city late enough that we’ll be cramming into a temporary room for the night and completing our journey about 24 hours from now. Will this trip feel like a scenic and relaxing journey through the French countryside? Or a never-ending trek with eight bags and couple of tired and hungry kids? We’re about to find out.
