Our final leg of our European trip is ditching the holiday theme and focusing on family adventures through the Eternal City of Rome. My mission is to give our kids the most authentic Roman experience Vat-i-can—by taking them through a colosseum worth of sites and bites in just 4 days. There’s a lot to squeeze in, so let’s put our big boy pantheon—and start devouring.

This week, we’ve retraced Leonardo da Vinci’s steps from nearly 550 years ago as we’ve left Tuscany’s Florence and trekked north to the finance, fashion, food and design Mecca of Milan in Italy’s Lombardy region.

This week, our family has traveled to Barcelona, Spain (in late winter 2022, mind you) to soak up the culinary treasures of this Mediterranean city.
