We’re spending 2 nights in South Africa’s wine country and experiencing everything that Babylonstoren has to offer, from incredible foods (including some that brooklyn makes for us) to farm operations. And of course Colt will be sampling some of the wines made right on-property.

For our final stateside trip of the year, we decided to fly out to visit Erin’s parents here in Medford, Oregon and spend 3 days touring some of the best wineries in the region. We’re hours north of Napa and still south of the better-known Willamette Valley, but word from the locals is that southern Oregon produces some of the best-kept secrets in American winemaking.

After spending the day with winery director Bernardo from the Colle Bereto winery in Chianti Classico on our trip to Tuscany a few months ago, we decided to visit his wife's operation at Fattoria di Montemaggio for a full winery tour and wine tasting—and see if we could choose a favorite between the two!
