Amazon Basics Waterproof Carrying Case

We’re constantly trying to improve our video quality and one of the biggest challenges is getting quality audio during water activities. The moment you put any smartphone or action camera under water, the microphone port fills with water and the audio is shot until you can clear it out. Because of that, we’ve started carrying our Sony mirrorless camera with us even into these adventurous environments. But with a replacement cost of around $8,000 USD, it’s a risky maneuver. That’s why we exercises a little trial-and-error to finally land on these cases from Amazon. They’re as small as we can go while still fitting our equipment, but being compact is critical since we need to carry them hands-free in a backpack and still have quick and easy access at a moment’s notice. They’re watertight, so we literally take these underwater—not just in the rain (Pressure equalization valve creates an airtight and watertight seal; watertight at 1 meter for up to 30 minutes - IP67 rated). Pre-cut foam squares allow for customizing the interior to fit your equipment perfectly. Exterior measures 12.1" x 10.6" x 5.9" and interior measures 10.9" x 7.9" x 4.7"; meets carry-on regulations for most U.S. domestic airlines and FAA’s maximum size for carry-on bags.

We have two identical cases (size Small): one for the Sony camera, microphone, 2 lenses, and spare batteries; and the other for our DJI drone, remote controller, batteries, spare parts, and our Insta360 Sphere.
