For the final stop in our 2-week tour of India, we're exploring the city of Dreams: Mumbai. er... Bombay? Anyway, we're wrapping our trip up here because it's unique combination of art, history, food, theater, and nightlife is said to be the metropolitan equivalent of the ultimate masala spice mix: it has a little bit of everything.

Our 2-week tour of India has already taken us through the back alleys of Delhi, the sights of Agra, the palaces of Jaipur, and the lakeside ruins of Udaipur. Now, we’ve headed to the country’s southern tip for a truly unique, overnight experience, on the waters of the Alleppey. Will this excursion be the ultimate in authentic travel or will it be a bit too laid back for our adventure-hungry family?

We're already one week into our tour of India, where the beauty has been non-stop and the luxury seems to be building. We're now spending two days in the oasis of Udaipur, referred to by some as the "City of Lakes and Palaces" and as "The Venice of the East" by others. Can this Rajasthan jewel beat the state's capital in family-friendly fun culture?

We've already made our way through the authentic beauty of Delhi and Agra and now we're about to spend two perfect days exploring Jaipur, India. We've heard some great things about this jewel of Rajasthan, but we can't help but wonder how much culture you can really squeeze from a city in the middle of the desert of northern India.

This morning, we left Delhi and trained Southeast to Agra to visit another one of the 7 new wonders of the world. The Taj Mahal's 400-year backstory has earned it the reputation as the most romantic place in India and we had to see if it lives up to the hype.

After our second trip to Southeast Asia and a quick jaunt to Hawaii to free dive with sharks for Reagan’s 16th birthday, we’re spending the next 2 weeks exploring the birthplace of chess, yoga, and four major religions: India.
